Donnerstag, 16. März 2023 // 15.00 - 16.00
WiNS Adlershof (Women in Natural Sciences)
Virtual networking meeting with Anna Maria Elert (BAM)
In this talk, Anna would like to share experiences along her career path in Germany. In particular she would like to share how the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) provided her chances to develop professionally both in research and scientific management. She spent 6 years as a postdoc at BAM in the Department of Materials Chemistry and since 2021, she has been working as a project manager at BAM in Berlin. Her current project focus is digitalization in the quality infrastructure. In this context, she coordinates the QI-Digital initiative, in which solutions for digital quality assurance are developed with the central players in German QI and other stakeholders (www.qi-digital.de).
Dr Anna Maria Elert studied chemistry at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland, and did her PhD in bio-based materials science and the surface chemistry of lignocellulosic fibers at Aalto University Finland. Her research fields were sustainable materials with improved properties and degradation of polymers & microplastics in the environment.
