SUMMARY:Circular Textiles: Weaving Innovation into the Future
DESCRIPTION:
X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Join us for the <strong>first </strong>webinar in our <i><strong>"Tech and Spaces for Circular Economy"</strong></i> series, where we uncover how cutting-edge technologies are revolutionizing the textile industry to become more circular.</p><h3><a href="https://circular-textiles-weaving-innovation.eventbrite.com" target="_blank" class="icon-arrow-right" rel="noreferrer"><svg role="img" version="1.1" width="1em" height="1em" viewBox="0 0 32 32" fill="currentColor" aria-hidden="true" class="icon arr-link"><path d="M24.314,16.562L13.251,5.406h5.469l13.281,13.281-13.281,13.313h-5.469l11.063-11.156H0v-4.281h24.313,0Z" /></svg>Book your spot</a></h3>

<h4>Why does this matter?</h4><p>Every year, the EU produces 12.6 million tonnes of textile waste - equivalent to 12 kilograms of waste per person. Only clothing and footwear alone accounts for 5.2 million tons of waste. Currently, only 22% of post-consumer textile waste is collected separately for re-use or recycling, while the remainder is often incinerated or landfilled. This unsustainable trajectory demands urgent action.</p><p><strong>The big question:</strong> Can today’s technologies overcome these challenges and unlock a circular textile value chain?</p><p>This webinar will delve into two crucial aspects of the circular textile value chain:</p><p><strong>Circular Design for Fashion:</strong> Discover how innovative materials and technologies are enabling the design of clothes that are easier to recycle and reuse.</p><p><strong>End-of-Life Solutions for textile waste:</strong> Learn how new technologies are transforming textile waste into valuable resources.</p><h4>Moderators</h4><ul><li>Remi Laoubi, Electronics lead at Circular Berlin</li><li><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/rawad-chammas-06b911181/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Rawad Chammas</a>, Technology Transfer Officer at Wista Management GmbH</li></ul><h4>Agenda</h4><p>14.00 -14.10 Welcome words</p><p>14.10 -14.20 What are the Circular Textile Challenges?</p><p>14.20 -14.40 What are the Technologies addressing the challenges?</p><ul><li>10 minutes per participant to introduce their solution</li></ul><p>14.40 -15.15 Panel exchange</p><p>15.15 -15.30 Closing</p><h3><a href="https://circular-textiles-weaving-innovation.eventbrite.com" target="_blank" class="icon-arrow-right" rel="noreferrer"><svg role="img" version="1.1" width="1em" height="1em" viewBox="0 0 32 32" fill="currentColor" aria-hidden="true" class="icon arr-link"><path d="M24.314,16.562L13.251,5.406h5.469l13.281,13.281-13.281,13.313h-5.469l11.063-11.156H0v-4.281h24.313,0Z" /></svg>Book your spot</a></h3>
