17th European Short Course on Time-resolved Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Montag, 04. November 2019 - Donnerstag, 07. November 2019

PicoQuant GmbH

Max-Born-Straße 2A, 12489 Berlin

The annual course on the “Principles and Applications of Time-resolved Fluorescence” will be jointly organized by Joseph R. Lakowicz from the Center of Fluorescence Spectroscopy (CFS) in Baltimore (USA) and PicoQuant from November 4 to 7, 2019 in Berlin, Germany. The aim of the 4 day event is to provide an in-depth introduction into fluorescence spectroscopy and its applications to scientific fields like life and materials science.

In addition to Prof. Lakowicz, the instructor list features Prof. Zygmunt “Karol” Gryczynski (Texas Christian University, Forth Worth, USA) and, for the first time, Prof. Nikolai Tkachenko (Tampere University, Finland) as well as further senior scientists of PicoQuant with extensive experience in time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy.

The target audience are researchers from academia and industry interested in using fluorescence spectroscopy methods. The course encompasses a series of lectures with accompanying practical sessions focusing on various instrumentation and software. The practical sessions will focus on steady-state and time-resolved measurements as well as data analysis, with instruments provided by Agilent (Cary Eclipse and Cary 3500) and PicoQuant (FluoTime and MicroTime Series).
