How to Succeed at Job Interviews
In this workshop you will learn how to professionally prepare for a job interview. Having managed to be invited is a big step forward. Now you need to train your personal pitch, be ready to present your skills adequately and be prepared for an array of questions.
We will take into account the employers’ perspective, work with practical exercises, use constructive feedback and reflections on one’s strengths and weaknesses (both relating to hard and soft skills). Moreover, we will discuss strategies to tackle the salary question and especially diversity-& gender-related imbalances.
In the end you will gain confidence and be able to convince recruiters of your professional skills and individual personality.

- Preparing the sales pitch at the beginning
- Different types of interview questions
- How to deal with difficult questions
- Interview simulations & constructive feedback

- Brief presentations & discussions
- Self-reflection & exercises
- Interactive group work with constructive feedback

Female PhD students and postdocs (max. 12 participants)
