Customised owner-occupied Flats in Berlin Adlershof

Adlershof is part of Berlin’s Treptow-Köpenick district which offers excellent outdoor recreation opportunities thanks to green areas such as Treptower Park, Plänterwald and Köllnische Heide. Inviting for a refreshing swim during the summer months, the nearby Greater Müggelsee Lake is considered to be one of Berlin’s most beautiful recreation areas. However, not only water sports enthusiasts enjoy coming to this place.

In Adlershof, the City of Science, Business and Media, the housing association First Home Wohnbau GmbH is building 24 owner-occupied flats near the university. Part of the Wohnen am Campus project, these apartments add to the existing building development extending towards the landscape park. The new building’s architecture and fittings are in accordance with the science location’s overall modern and ambitious standards.

The Humboldt University, various technology and start-up centres as well as numerous innovative businesses attract young and well-educated people who want to live here. Bright and generous in layout, the new apartments feature floor-to-ceiling windows, large balconies and terraces, open fire-place facilities and high-quality materials.

Anything from basement car park to balcony can be accessed without steps, and each flat may be customised according to the buyers‘ requirements. Increased sound insulation and district heating supplied by BTB in Adlershof provide a high living comfort along with low utility expenses and an annual primary energy consumption of only 55 percent of the maximum legal amount. Despite all these assets, the prices of the apartments are in the mid-range.

The building is expected to be ready for occupation by summer 2014. Between 52 and 150 m² in size, the two to five-room apartments make for relaxed living and include a guest toilet, a utility room and a separable kitchen. While the adjacent Katharina-Boll-Dornberger-Straße is a traffic-calmed residential street, the city is never far away. Both, the motorway and the public transport system provide easy access to Berlin’s cultural centres and attractions. Likewise, the new Berlin- Brandenburg airport, Berlin Ostbahnhof station and the Berliner Ring motorway A10 can be reached in no time at all.
