SOLON Receives Order for 8 MW Solar Power Plants in Israel
Together with ELCO Contracting & Services, the solar power company SOLON will be building two turnkey solar power plants in Israel. They will be built in the kibbutzim Kramim and Idan and have an output of 5 and 3 megawatts respectively. The customer is the project developer Enlight Renewables Ltd. with headquarters in Rosh Ha'Ayin near Tel Aviv. Construction is slated to begin in September.
In order to better react to local conditions, SOLON and the Israeli electronic company ELCO have formed a joint venture to carry out the projects. The joint venture will also operate the power plants after they have been completed. The monitoring system SOLON Vega will then be put into service. The system will be able to monitor the power plant automatically and in real time over the Internet and control the plant all the way down to the component level. In addition, the system supplies data on the current yield and output.
