The women who make things possible

The team of Adlershof con.vent, event and visitors’ service in the science and technology park

The five is a number full of significance. It is the number of Venus, the Goddess of Love; Aristoteles differentiated the five senses; and the “Famous Five” were the most popular protagonists created by the English children’s writer Enid Blyton. Perhaps not quite as famous, but just as capable is the con.vent team, when they transform Adlershof events into an experience for all five senses. Give me five!

Silvana Schneider, Linda Jentsch, Josephin Kluge, Eileen Schliefke and Magdalena Matheis are an established team. With ever new ideas, the women behind Adlershof con.vent. ensure that visitors, whether they are a researcher, pupil, a crown prince, student or prime minister, leave with fond memories of Adlershof – with special event ideas and accompanying programmes and trouble-free organisation. The key to its success is the team’s diversity. The talents of its members are as varied as the technology hub itself.
Like the location, which combines world respected scientific expertise, influential urban development, economic transformation and outstanding technological achievements in ever new and unique ways, the con.vent. team reshuffles the event cards for each new challenge.

The trump cards that always come into play, however, are positive energy, good humour, discretion and service. And, of course, the team’s in-depth knowledge of the site.
Silvana Schneider has worked in Adlershof for a long time. There is no place, no company, no contact here that she does not know. Silvana Schneider heads the event organising service. Her knowledge, her organisation skills and composure also help when things get hectic at times. Linda Jentsch, Head of Sales, has event planning in her blood. She began volunteer work while she was still at school. For Linda Jentsch there are no problems, only solutions. With Adlershof’s advantages and her good humour, she now attracts conference organisers, companies and other interested parties to the Adlershof event location. Facts and figures are Josephin Kluge’s profession. The Head of Visitor Services keeps an experienced eye on the bigger picture at all times – and keeps in contact with organisers and their visitors, always with confidence and discretion. Josephin Kluge also organises the popular visitor tours.

Eileen Schliefke and Magdalena Matheis complete the team. As a skilled restaurateur, Eileen Schliefke understands the value of excellent service, positive energy and the right appearance. As a qualified archaeologist, Magdalena Matheis brings her very own inspiration to the team. “Lateral thinking”, she says, “is something that has worked excellently in Adlershof for some time now.”

“We want to create emotional worlds through the events”, explains Silvana Schneider. All of them know Adlershof inside out.” Their ideas and enthusiasm for the location’s potential, diversity and ability to transform itself inspires the numerous freelance colleagues, too, all those who – with great commitment and determination – help cope with the ever increasing demand. One of the ideas is for a welcome centre for visitors from across the world to experience the exciting history of the site interactively. It is always about bringing people together, making the future something that can be experienced and celebrating diversity. Where better to do this than in Adlershof.
