The energy cluster covers the entire value chain: from research and development to production and sales. Focal points include thin-film photovoltaics, analytics, fuel cells development, the production of hydrogen, grid integration and energy storage technology.

The Centre for Photovoltaics and Renewable Energies (ZPV) has a total of 8,000 square metres of production, laboratory and office space in a flexible design. The chemical laboratories are equipped with air extraction systems and water and compressed air supply systems. A ground-floor storage facility provides tenants with the gases they need. In addition, there is a charging station for electric cars, e-scooters and pedelecs.
