Technology park Adlershof hosted Photonic Days and Tech Tour Photonics
Over 400 participants and 3 days of Networking
The photonics industry from Berlin-Brandenburg met from October 8-10, 2025, at the WISTA Conventions premises in the Adlershof Technology Park for the traditional Photonics Days. The Photonics/Optics, Microsystems, Quantum Cluster in Berlin-Brandenburg, with its umbrella organization OpTecBB, is one of the strongest in Europe, which is why this event, with participants from 24 countries, also had international appeal.
During the two-day Photonics Days, there were 26 sessions with over 100 national and international speakers, as well as an accompanying exhibition with participants from Berlin-Brandenburg, the rest of Germany, and international partners from Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, and other countries. This year's focus was on: Optical Design and Optical Simulation; Semiconductors and Heterointegration; BQQT-Berlin Quantum Quantum Technology; Ophthalmology; Metrology on Nanooptics; Novel Applications of Modern Lighting Technologies; Photonics for Safety and Security; Solid Crystals for Photonic Applications Novel; Application on PIC.
The event was opened by the Spanish ambassador and Thomas Krause from the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises. In addition to specialist presentations, a large exhibition, and various networking opportunities, Photonics Week also featured Photonics Travel Days: on October 7, several OpTecBB members opened their doors and laboratories to registered participants. Exhibitors from Adlershof included SENTECH, AEMtec, eagleyard, JenLab, and Holoeye.
The event was already sold out in April and was very well attended on all days, with a friendly and inspiring atmosphere. WISTA Network Manager Daniel Rosón Eichelmann: "The photonics industry is very accessible and down-to-earth. And that's despite the fact that people are working on products that are sometimes technologically revolutionary. For WISTA, its role as a supporter of the event was once again a complete success. There was a lot of talk about Adlershof and contacts were made with many new and familiar companies."
The European network EPIC praised the organization of the event and the Adlershof Technology Park as a showcase location in Europe and the world in the field of photonics.
