Adlershof is the STEM hotspot for LNdW
In 2026, once again, numerous scientific institutions in Adlershof will open their doors for the Long Night of Science. On 6 June, from 5 pm to midnight, there will be a lively programme of activities for families, researchers of all ages, and anyone else who is interested.
Speaking of which: are you interested in participating as a partner of WISTA? We have further information about this below.
If you want to receive all the important information, sign up for the newsletter at langenachtderwissenschaften.de. And if you don't want to miss any news from Germany's largest science and technology park, we also have an Adlershof newsletter.
We look forward to the Long Night of Science with you, on 6 June 2026!
The Long Night programme in Adlershof
Get involved now!
House of Big Researchers
With our “House of Big Researchers”, WISTA is opening its new workspaces at ST3AM Adlershof (Rudower Chaussee 28) for the first time during the Long Night of Science. A special highlight of the programme: a 3D printing workshop where you can design and print your own vase! The workshop takes place at 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm, and 8:30 pm, in English, and lasts one hour each. If you would like to participate, simply register by emailing langenacht(at)wista.de.
House of Young Researchers
For little and young researchers, we have an equally exciting programme at our main building at Rudower Chaussee 17. There are workshops here as well: Teams from RoboCup Junior will give a short 45-minute introduction to robot programming. Registration takes place on-site.
Want to know what else is going on? Just check out our programme booklet for the Long Night of Science in Adlershof—or simply stop by on June 6 and embark on a journey of discovery!

Call for Videos: LNdW x Berlin Science Week
We want to promote early-career researchers!
How does your research improve the lives of Berliners? That’s the question asked at the Inspiration Stage during Berlin Science Week on November 7 and 8, 2026—and we can help you take the stage.
As institutions in Adlershof, we want to show how important the research being done here is for Berlin. That’s why we are looking for early-career researchers to send us a short video about their research. The best submission will have the chance to present on the Inspiration Stage at Berlin Science Week—and will receive support in the run-up to the event in the form of speaker coaching and science engagement training.
Full details
The procedure:
- Send us your video by May 29, briefly explaining how your research improves the lives of Berliners. Simply fill out this survey.
- A jury consisting of representatives from WISTA, IGAFA, Forschungsverbund, and HZB will shortlist a maximum of 5 people from all submissions.
- We will then show the videos as part of the public Science Slam during the Long Night of Science on June 6, 2026. An on-site audience vote will determine the best submission.
- The winner will be Adlershof’s entry in the competition for presentations on the Inspiration Stage at Berlin Science Week.
Requirements for the video:
- Length: 60 to 90 seconds
- Format: Landscape (16:9), at least Full HD (1920x1080 pixels)
- Language: German or English
- Understandable to a broad audience (no specialized knowledge should be assumed)
- Feel free to be creative! Storytelling, visuals, and everyday relevance are always well-received.
Any questions?
