After graduating, many fellows decide to return to their home countries. This decision is often made to be closer to family and friends again. But what does this mean for their career prospects and everyday life?
Join us for an informal networking event featuring two inspiring alumnae, Azza Ahmed and Shanshan Chen, who will share their experiences, current work, and future plans, followed by a discussion.
About the speakers
Dr. Azza Ahmed completed her PhD at University of Szeged in Inorganic Chemistry in 2024. She now works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Mansoura University in Egypt.
Dr. Shanshan Chen completed her PhD in Geography at HU Berlin in 2023. She currently holds a tenure-track position, at China University of Mining and Technology, and works as a postdoc at Research Center for Eco-Environmental Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The event is aimed at current female masters’ students, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers and WINS alumnae.
